The Making of a Fabricated Replica Tree
Our fabricated custom trees are made with a solid steel core, sculpted into the appropriate botanical tree shape and covered with lifelike bark made from fiberglass resin.
- Anchor plate and secure 3” steel post with gussets or angle iron & rebar cage
- Steel frame and skeleton and connection points for main and secondary branches
- Clad trunk sections with PVC skin
- Modular main and secondary branches to be reassembled on site
- Attached mounting receivers to accept leaf branches
- Leaf branches to accommodate silk leaf sprays
- Fully texture trunk, main and secondary branches as well as leaf branches
- Fully paint and detail all fabricated components
- All trunk and branch texture to be crafted with IFR epoxy resin
- Entire silk leaf canopy will be comprised of IFR silk leaf sprays
- Transport to location- Install finished trees into provided anchored containers
Commercial designers and architects now have the freedom to creatively incorporate fabricated
custom trees in their Hotel, Casino and Restaurant designs. The old passe trend of fake plants,
and small artificial trees placed in dark corners are a thing of the past. Preserved Interiors consults
with the designer or architect at the early phases of the project, so that the necessary structural
supports or footings for the tree sculpture can be incorporated into the engineering of the space at
the outset. By working together early in the design and architectural process, the designer or architect
